3D Printed high heels

Tasked with creating a 3D Printed shoe, many decided to attempt sandals or clog styles but I was determined to push the printers capabilities and create a high-fashion high heel. After a few thumbnail sketches, I settled on a design with an open platform with an almost floating appearance and extreme height to give a near en pointe stance. Inspired by the dual 2016 Pantone Color of the Year, Rose Quartz and Serenity, I finished the shoe with a mix of Bondo to fill any deeper layer line, both colors of spray paint, and lots of wet sanding to create a distressed look underneath a smooth surface finish that highlights the materiality of the plastic printed heel.
Modeled using 3ds Max with a 3D image captured foot as reference.
